Cattle Egret, Surlingham, 8 December 2016

On my way back from Norwich I decided to take the small detour to Surlingham to haved a look at this little beauty. Parking in the carpark of the Ted Ellis reserve at Wheatfen I strolled back north along the track and immediately clapped eyes on the Cattle Egret, not surprisingly feeding amongst the cattle. I spent a good bit of time here with the bird all to myself which was very pleasant.
Not much else there except a few Fieldfares, Great Spotted Woodpecker and Common Buzzard.
