A wander in the Brockdish/Syleham area, 30 August 2021

We stayed local and inland to avoid the crowds this Bank Holiday Monday.

A walk in the Waveney Valley around Brockdish and Syleham was very pleasant with some nice plants spotted along the way. Best was undoubtedly Fragrant Agrimony (my first local sighting of this species) but Chicory, Wild Marjoram and Small Teasel (again!) plus seemingly naturalised Pear and Crab Apple miles from habitation. The former provided us with some fruit for the larder!

A brief stop at Upper Street near Thorpe Abbots on the way back and I found the presumed remnants of a game strip that contained Phacelia and Common Buckwheat
