Butterburs at the double, Bure Valley, 8 April 2022

Having both been a bit problematical for me (several dips!) I managed to catch up with both Butterbur and Giant Butterbur within just a couple of miles of each other today.

The first was 4 Giant Butterbur plants beside the river near Buxton. The river by the mill also held Grey Wagtail and a Small White butterfly was my first of the year.

Then on to nearby Brampton where I was astonished to find c150 Butterbur plants packed in to a small area near the village sign and spilling out onto the road verges.
