Sanderling at Dickleburgh Moor, 16 July 2020

A trip off from Jus had be grabbing my scope and making the very short drive down the road to Dickleburgh Moor. An inland Sanderling is not to be sneezed at!
It was present on arrival (as was the finder John Marchant) on a small island at reasonable range and in pretty much full summer plumage. Also there were 2 Green Sandpipers, an eclipse drake Pintail (with rumours they have bred at the site), Kingfisher, Stock Dove, good numbers of trilling Little Grebes and c15 Little Egrets.
A very enjoyable half an hour before I had to return home to finish cooking the tea!
