Having religiously kept this blog up to date for many years I’m very aware that I have lapsed over the last 3 months!
But there is a valid reason - on the very last day of March Belinda and I set off on an epic 3 month motorhome travelling adventure. This has taken us through the Northeast, up to Edinburgh, Fife, Speyside and then all around what has become known as the NC500. In between times we visited 12 of the Scottish islands including Skye, Mull and the whole length of the Outer Hebrides. After that it was Ayrshire, Dumfries & Galloway, the Lake District, Lancashire and finally North Wales.
In a nutshell there simply hasn’t been time to blog! I have however kept up to date with all of my natural history sightings so plan to share some of the highlights in 3 posts (one each for April, May and June) over the coming days.
In the meantime here’s a rather special photograph I took that may whet the appetite!
