Back at home this week I had a new hoverfly - Great Pied Hoverfly and an Old Lady moth was also new for the garden.

A flying visit to Berkshire, 19 July 2015
I had reason to be in the Newbury area in Berkshire last Sunday and while out and about had a few nature sightings to report. Between there are the High Wycombe area were at least a couple of hundred Red Kites and a smattering of Common Buzzards. Whilst out in the field I clocked Marbled White, Essex Skipper and a new moth tick in the form of a lovely Scarlet Tiger which posed nicely for an iphone pic.
